Our caring, Licensed Chiropractic Doctors offer our patients nonsurgical pain relief solutions based on proper spinal motion and nervous system function. They provide gentle manipulation to spinal joints, soft tissue mobilization, and manual traction to not only relieve pain but to help decrease swelling and movement restrictions to restore normal function. Our chiropractors work closely with our medical team and physical therapists to provide our patients with a comprehensive seamless continuum of care.

At Advanced Health NY our Licensed Chiropractors provide many different chiropractic adjustments and pain relief techniques to alleviate pain and restore function to spinal joints, that because of injury, aging, or wear and tear have become restricted and inflamed. Some of them are:

Manual Traction

Manual traction uses hands-on chiropractic techniques to relieve neck and back pain caused by compression of the bones in the spine stemming from injury, nerve pressure, or degenerative disease. During manual traction, the chiropractor stretches and mobilizes tight spinal muscles to reduce pain and increase function. Many patients find manual traction to be relaxing.

Flexion Distraction Technique

The Flexion Distraction Technique offers non-medication pain relief for people that do not wish to undergo surgery for back pain. The Flexion Distraction Technique is performed on a special table that allows our chiropractors to safely and nearly painlessly stretch the lower spine and perform a series of hands-on movements to reduce pressure and pain.

The Flexion Distraction Technique is most appropriate for:

Soft Tissue Mobilization

Good circulation is an important element of whole body health. Our licensed chiropractors use hands-on soft tissue mobilization to help stimulate and improve circulation to ease discomfort, pain, and stiffness, as well as improve range of motion, flexibility, and tissue elasticity.

Manual and Instrument Chiropractic Adjustment

Our chiropractors provide spinal adjustments as a safe and non-surgical non-medication form of pain relief. Chiropractic adjustments are performed with hands on techniques, or with the impulse adjuster or a combination of both, depending on the patient's needs, to free up a subluxations. A subluxation is a bone in the spinal column that has moved out of place. Spinal adjustment may be used alone or in conjunction with massage therapyhot or cold treatments, or physical therapy to optimize results.

Spinal adjustments are primarily used to treat subluxations, and they may also be performed to treat other painful conditions including:
